How We Rate Anime

I can attempt to be like the pro and rate it base on plot, music, characters, details...etc., but it's just too much work. Believe me, I tried it once; sitting there watching an episode with paper and pen in hand trying to jot down notes (not saying this is how the pro do it), and it was a disaster. It felt like I was doing school work all over again! Anyway, here's a break down of what I (personally) look for in rating an anime series: 
  1. Story (The whole purpose why we want to watch this particular anime is.....?)
  2. Characters (i.e. Development & interactions...stuff like that)
  3. Animation (this is not that important for me unless it's an action series)
  4. Ending - I like an anime where they wrap up the story at the end - giving me a proper closure. It's important for me lol
  5. Fun!!

S = Our Personal Favorites (Doesn't means others will agree with)
A = Excellent; must see for all anime fans
B = Good; highly recommend
C = Fair; recommend with reservation
D = Eh, if you have time to waste; it's not the worst thing in the world
F = Thank God I dropped it! If not....it was regretful; I want my time back!! 

 ***UPDATE***

Due to our busy schedules, the distractions in life, plus the abundant amount of anime w/ every season, we unfortunately cannot rate every single one of them (we will try, but no promises). So, we picked up a new method of watching and rating anime:
  •  Dividing Up Anime - Tedwin and me will both separately compose a list of anime series from the new season that we are interest in and commit to watching them. Basically, diving up the season list so that we can cover as much series as we can.
  • Separate Post - We will go and write first impressions on our own list of anime series that we choose. Basically you will see 1 review for 1 anime series. However, if we find something we both strongly liked/disliked or have polar opposite opinion on it, we will give 2 impressions for that 1 anime :)
  • Reviews - We will only review anime series that we feel strongly about....unless we get a request from you guys~
